Grapevine Gardens

A few weeks ago we met our playgroup in Grapevine to enjoy the Grapevine Gardens. There was a nice playground for the kiddies to play, lovely trails through the woods, coy fish ponds, bridges, streams, picturesque settings, gazebos, and all kind of neat stuff for the kids to enjoy. My girls love walking through the woods so they really enjoyed climbing the small hills, crunching the leaves, and running around. We also had a picnic lunch and it was a lot of fun to chat with some sweet momma friends and let our kiddos play and explore together! Our playgroup is such an answer to prayer!

Playing "store & shopkeeper."

Little man enjoyed the stroll!

This girl would swing 24 hours a day!

Liam loved moving the pumpkins around!

Siblings

These sweet kiddos sure do love each other! Finley has once again taken her role as big sis with grace and is so extremely helpful. They both are really. They sing to brother, give him his paci when he cries, cover him in kisses, and just love him so much!  Rowynn is absolutely in love with her baby. like she just radiates joy when he is near. They fetch things for me when I'm nursing him and don't have an available hand. They are patient (for the most part) when I have to tend to the baby instead of playing with them. I try to balance their needs and make sure to tell Emerson that he needs to wait sometimes so the girls aren't the only ones hearing, "hang on a minute."

Look at that sweet baby smile!

He is such a happy baby!

Snuggling with sister before bedtime!

Getting sugars!

Random Pictures!

How did these two get so big? Seriously, Finley looks about 5 in this picture!!!

So this picture is sideways, but I don't know why! A couple of weeks ago my sweet boy turned a month old! Not cool, E, not cool. Time slow down!

Finley before Awanas last week. She's such a big girl!

Little man loves his swing!

Sometimes he doesn't like his swing.

Grandma spent the night with us the other night and Finley insisted that she read them bed time stories. Grandma was all too happy to oblige! These girls love their Grandma...and Grandma loves them too!

Finley LOVES to dress up. Like everyday. This is her one morning before a walk around the neighborhood. She'll say, "Don't you love my beautiful pink dress, it's so magical!" Both the girls are obsessed with "Rella" (Cinderella) and "Punzel" (Rapunzel). They love all things princess! We had a play group party here a couple of days ago and at one point there were 5 little girls "getting fancy." It was too cute!

Last weekend Rowynn ran a really high fever so we drug the mattress into the living room, put on a movie, got a fire going, and watched movies all day. The yellow bear Ro is snuggling with was once my bear. Sugar Bear was given to my mom before I was born and I use to drag it everywhere. Ro has claimed it as hers now!

My beautiful girl! I love this little 3 year old so stinkin' much!

Em's First Trip to Louisiana

A couple of weeks ago we took Emerson to Louisiana to meet the rest of my family and friends. It was our first road trip as a family of five, and all in all went pretty good. There were of course the stops to feed Em, let the kids potty, and roam around. The kiddie music and audio books...gets old after 5 hours. The fussiness of the two year old who kept insisting she was, "tuck" (stuck)...I kept assuring her she was not stuck, but in fact just strapped into her car seat and had to remain there. But she thought we would enjoy hearing her cry/scream/fuss for two hours. But generally a pretty good trip. I'm so glad my kids are good riders. We make that trip A LOT!

Pacis...check. Blankets...check. Lovies...check. Here we go!

My grandparents meeting their first great grandson!
My grandparents came over Friday to meet little E. We hung out at my parents house, did a bonfire, and let the girls roam around the country. They had a great time! Saturday we went to my grandparent's house where we were treated to a delicious homemade breakfast! We then went across the street to a local festival. In Louisiana we have festivals ALL.THE.TIME! I was so glad the girls got to experience some small town life. The Freestate Festival was a lot of fun. I think the last time I was there was in 2001 when I was Teen Miss Sabine FreeState! The girls LOVED the little parade. Rowynn had this look of pure joy on her face. She was so giddy! They both got a kick out of people throwing them candy! It was so fun to watch.
Me & My little man. Him was snug as a bug!

My dad, me, and E-Man. And that's Sarsaparillas in our hands!

I don't think I've ever seen this crazy smile! She was so tickled!

My kiddos have the best Aunt Sissy!

My sweet girlies!

They were dancing! So glad my kids have such a fun daddy who will dance and skip with them in public!

Mimi & her grand boy!

After the festival we had lunch out where my aunt met Emerson! Then Aunt Sissy & Uncle Ben took the girls to my aunt's church for their family festival. The girls bounced in bounce houses, rode golf carts, played with kiddos, and ate cotton candy! They had such a fun time. Sunday we went to my parents' church and got to see some sweet friends! I wish I had taken more pictures...but sometimes with three little ones I forget about the camera! They keep me pretty occupied! It was a super fun weekend and I'm so thankful for my family!

@Home Learning!

This is a neat little sensory tub my friend Maile put together. The girls love playing in it and sorting everything.

Silk leaves, felt owls, fabric strips, acorns, acorn bells, plastic pumpkins/gourds, small leaves, and red plastic leaves.

We had fun drawing faces on our acorns.

Great activity from Maile. I drew numbers on small sticky notes and Finley had to count the stars and then find the correct number and put in the box. I figured the sticky notes would be easier since she can't draw her numbers yet.

Words their Way picture sort! Finley did really great with this! Thanks Maile!

This is sideways, but you get the idea. We used our Unifix cubes to help us add!

Finley is forever finding number and letters in everyday objects. Pretzels, pictures, etc. Here she noticed that the way the computer charger was laying it made a 2.

Here she noticed that the silver coffee cup holder made a Y.

We have been enjoying our fall themed books. This day we read Scarecrow's Secret but before we read it we did a picture walk and we talked about 3 questions we wanted the answers to after we read it. Working on reading comprehension skills!
